Each Chapter and Express Network is considered a local league as determined by the National Board of Directors of the American Business Women’s Association

Chapter:

Chapters help members improve business efficiency, their earning power, promote good relationships among employees and employers, and assist non-working members in securing employment. Each chapter embraces the mission of the Association by helping women better themselves through professional development.

An Executive Board has supervisory oversight for the chapter. Officers include: President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. Meetings are scheduled monthly on the same day of each month. During these meetings, members and guests network, hear a market or business relevant program, have dinner, and participate in the business meeting of the chapter.

Board positions and committee chairmanships are in place to ensure smooth running of the chapter.  Members may participate as officers, committee chairmen, or committee members to obtain additional training in areas such as, organization, event planning, leadership, and teamwork.

Express Network®:

Networks provide networking and educational and/or motivational programs to meet the needs of women business leaders in the community. Meetings are scheduled monthly on the same day of each month. Express Networks conduct meetings in a 90-minute format during the lunch hour.

An Executive Board oversees the general supervision of the network. Officers include:  President, President-Elect, Vice President of Finance, Vice President of Communications, Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations, and Vice President of Programming. All business needs of the organization are conducted at the Executive Board level.

Each Express Network member is connected with other members in the United States through an online member directory. In addition, members have access to an exclusive members-only web site with information tailored to meet the needs of the Express Network businesswoman. An Express Network ListServ is also available that covers current, relevant topics being talked about today where you can pose questions and seek assistance from fellow members nationwide.
